Pieces for Zoom Choir

These pieces are designed to be performed simultaneously by a group of 8+ people, with a mix of soprano, alto, tenor and bass voices, on Zoom or a similar video-conferencing platform.

To take part, you need:
➻ A computer (with Zoom installed, if using);
➻ The ability to hear a pitch and sing it back—understanding of sheet music is not required! and;
➻ A pair of headphones (recommended)

There are two Zoom choir pieces:

In this short Life

(2 minutes. Text by Emily Dickinson.)

This piece works well as a warm-up, or as a way of getting used to the performance interface.

Everything

(10 minutes. Procedurally generated text.)

This piece is more intricate; it's best to try out In this short Life first!.

If you're part of a group that would like to sing these pieces, all the materials you need to do so are in the website, but I'd also be happy to facilitate a performance. Either way, do get in touch; I'd love to hear about your plans. If your organization would normally pay for performance materials, consider instead making a donation to the Henry Street Settlement.
